The Luvabulls are Chicago’s premier professional dance team. With over 40 years of history, the Luvabulls are an iconic part of Bulls basketball games and the City of Chicago. We are looking for new dancers who are confident, athletic, and incredible ambassadors for the Chicago Bulls.
To be a Chicago Luvabull, you must meet these minimum requirements:
- Be 18 years of age by May 4, 2024
- Have reliable transportation
- Posess a valid US Driver’s License or State ID
- Have a flexible schedule to attend games and rehearsals
- If selected, must reside or be willing to commute to the Chicago area for all rehearsals, appearances, games, etc.
- If selected for the team, a one-year contract and commitment are required, along with agreement to abide by rules and guidelines in the employee handbook.
- Understand that this is a part-time position and team members are paid for all their work. This includes rehearsals, game day, appearances, photoshoots, meetings, etc.
- Be an experienced, versatile dancer and a Chicago Bulls fan
- Be athletically fit in order to perform high energy routines and elite skills
Below is an overview of what to expect throughout the 2024-2025 audition process.

You will learn and perform choreography, and also get to meet coaches and Luvabulls. There will be a hip hop master class with a guest choreographer at the end of the day, which will be open to the public. Select candidates who excel will be eligible to receive a pass straight through to Training Camp, therefore skipping the video submission. It is highly encouraged to wear clothing and shoes that reflect each style of dance, shows your personal style, and makes you stand out.
Doors open one hour prior to each event. Location, parking, and guest choreographers will be announced as the date approaches.
1-day clinic fee is $150.00
Pre-registration (which includes waiver of liability) is required, and will open soon.
Video Submission
Submissions open: Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 12:00AM CST
Submissions close: Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at 11:59 PM CST.
Training camp candidates will be announced via email on or before Monday, May 13th, by 5:00 PM CST. Video submission candidates must be 18+
Your submission has three parts. Here are the instructions (please include ALL items or your submission will not be reviewed):
- Application submission link, which will include:
- Your contact information
- 3 dance-related professional references
- Headshot photo upload (wear clothing of your choice, no hats or sunglasses)
- Full length photo upload (wear fitted workout/audition attire)
- Video submission link. Please edit the following requirements into ONE video file to upload to Greenfly, not to exceed 2:15:
- 30 second introduction: state your full name, age, hometown, former team or studio, and something notable about yourself. Wear clothing of your choice.
- 30 second jazz or jazz/funk choreography (wear appropriate attire that supports the style of dance).
- 30 second high energy heels choreography (wear appropriate attire that supports the style of dance).
- 30 second hip hop choreography (wear appropriate attire that supports the style of dance).
- Note - incorporate any skills that you would like to showcase into the choreography.
- Audition processing fee of $25. Payment link will be provided.
Training Camp
(if you are selected from the clinics or video audition)

Training camp is not open to the public. You must be selected from clinics or have received an invitation from your video submission. Please be available for both clinic dates and times. Be prepared to learn choreography, perform in small groups, take photos, and be interviewed. Select candidates from Training Camp will move on to the final round.
Final Audition
Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, 9:00am-6:00pm CST
Doors open one hour prior to finals.

Should you make it to the final audition, you will be asked to perform a solo in the style of your choice, as well as the choreography from training camp in small groups. The final team announcement will be made following the event, as well as team orientation.
