Carrington Boards

Carrington is a 17-year-old Senior at Detroit Cristo Rey. She loves to write and would eventually like to write a book or movie one day. She enjoys creating art, playing basketball, golfing, crocheting, and going to the movies. Carrington volunteers at the Michigan Human Society and is a part of the following groups: Midnight Golf, Detroit Pistons Youth Council, Boys Hope Girls Hope, Student Council, and NHS. Following high school she plans to study Biology or Animal Science so she can pursue a career in becoming a veterinarian.

Maria Cardenas

National Honor Society president and former treasurer for NHS. Involved in Harper Woods High School real estate program where seniors can take real estate courses with the help of an actual real estate agent to prepare for the Michigan real estate exam when the student turns 18. After graduating from High School Maria is interested in pre-med and would like to major in bioengineering, chemical engineering, or international relations. 

Mari Copeny

Mari is a 16-year-old from Flint, Michigan known globally as Little Miss Flint. Born on July 6th, 2007.  She first entered the public spotlight when her letter to President Obama about the water crisis prompted him to visit the city and survey the water crisis for himself. That visit ultimately led to him approving $100 million dollars in relief for the city of Flint.  Her young age has not prevented her from making a significant impact on the dialogue around environmental racism and confronted the entire country with the reality faced by victims of state negligence.

Ethan Dorsett

Ethan Dorsett is a 17-year-old senior at Jalen Rose Leadership Academy. Ethan enjoys playing sports, creative writing techniques, spending time with family and friends, event planning and sneaker collecting. Ethan currently plays varsity basketball and cross country. He is a National Honors Society student and participates in Southfield Esquires Mentorship Program, Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) Senior Committee and a Detroit Pistons Platinum Equity Mentee.

Tsukara Einzbern

Tsukara is a 17-year-old senior at Michigan Virtual Academy. Tsukara is interested in gaming and taking care of animals. In her free time, Tsukara enjoys Anime Club and Dungeons & Dragons. Tsukara has a list of accomplishments. She has been first place in the Science Fair on two occasions and Tskuara has completed a 5k race.

Carter Halberstadt

Carter is a 17-year-old senior at Wyandotte Roosevelt High School. Carter likes journalism, tennis and traveling. Carter is a varsity tennis player for his high school, DECA President and a member of his schools National Honor Society.

Kaden Johnson

Kaden Johnson is 15-year-old sophomore at Lamphere High School. In his free time, Kaden enjoys playing basketball, gaming, photography, golfing, cooking, working out and watching sports. Currently, Kaden maintains 3.5 GPA, member of his school’s National Honor Society program and a class historian.  Kaden’s long-term goal is to become a professional basketball player.

Parker Levin

Parker is 17-year-old senior at Seaholm High School. Parker enjoys playing sports, video games and traveling with his family. Parker is a National Honors Society student with plans of attending either Michigan State University or University of Wisconsin next fall. Parker wants to major in Marketing or Physics.

Kameron Llyod

Kameron is a senior at Detroit Catholic Central. In his spare time, he loves to cook, play football, read, and listen to music. Kameron is currently a student council treasurer and a member of his school’s National Honor Society. Among many of his accomplishments Kameron is proud to have won the College Board African American Recognition Award.

Katelyn Mapleh

Katelyn is a 16-year-old junior at Renaissance High School. She is a part of the Phoenix Chapter of National Honor Society. Katelyn has played the viola for six years and she is a member of the Renaissance Award-winning orchestra. In addition, she is a two-time Michigan High School Band & Orchestra Association (MSBOA) solo ensemble winner. Katelyn is also a current enrolled student in Blue Lake Orchestra Exchange Student Music program for 2024. Katelyn enjoys painting, drawing, writing, playing the cello and viola. Katelyn goal is to become a neuropsychologist.

Nathan Vo

Nathan is a 17-year-old senior at Walled Lake Western High School. In his free time, he enjoys martial arts, wrestling, volleyball and tennis. Nathan is enthusiastic and proud of his company Vo’s Management. Nathan is most thankful for his family and close friends.

Kassidy Williams

Kassidy is a 17-year-old senior at University High School Academy. In her spare time, Kassidy is a member of her school’s student council, camp counselor and a business brand ambassador. She is proud to be a National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society student. Kassidy also enjoys volunteering and extending her knowledge to help today’s youth. Kassidy dream job is to become a sports broadcaster.

Jason Wilson II

Jason is a 16-year-old sophomore at Southfield Christian High School. Jason enjoys playing basketball, playing video games, and exercising. Jason is also a member of The Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy in Detroit.
